2) Doors - Two Wooden types, a Metal Internal Roll-Up and a Scissors Security Fence


3) Fire Escape with actual Stairs, Safety Railings around Openings, Roof Access and Drop Ladder


4) Side Stairs with Entry Platform

•Stairs and Entry Platform for side door (see stairs used on construction trailer) http://www.traincat2.com/d_trailer1.htm
•Main and Side Door Overhangs
•External Freight Elevator (covers column of windows with dummy doors + elevator in trussed shaft)
•Industrial Fire Escapes
•Industrial half-turn Stairs (would require user making column of windows into doors)
•Upgraded Windows (double hung and swing open type)
•Horizontal Panel Doors that simulate internal rollups
•Wood doors with windows & external bracing

I'd love to see a Civil Defense siren done as a separate kit as well (the kind that rotates), but a nice roof-mounted air-raid siren would be delightful.

Wow. I'm starting down the path on a steel mill and supporting buildings and I know I'm going to need a handful of these.

One of the primary things that you see on roofs are elevator lift rooms.  I have yet to see those available in the marketplace, yet they would have universal application for any flat roofed, multi-story building.  I would also like to see roof access hatches and stairway doors. 

And for the rivet counters among us, there might be a market for standoffs for pipes.  If you look at most older buildings, there are various pipes that run across the roof.  These are easy to add with tubing, but the prototype piping is mounted a few inches off the top of the roof with support brackets.  Be nice to have some pipes with support brackets to add to rooftops.

For modelers working in the modern era, the roofs of taller buildings often have cell tower antennas.  While there is a kit for a tower, there are no antenna kits available for rooftops.  These could also be packaged with the transformers that are often mounted to the rooftop to drive the antennas.

And while I am thinking about rooftops, where are the lightning rods?  I manage a little 4 story building in my real life, and that is a major consideration any time we do anything on the roof.  Maybe those are too small to worry with in N scale, but some of us go to the trouble of putting TV antennas on our roofs, why not lightning rods?
