Finished assembling another F25a and did some work on this Trix tender. Next time, I'll use some brass for the lantern mounts. The Scalecoat II Brunswick Green is quite green! I'm debating on if I should paint the boiler to match. I'm also deciding on what number to assign this loco. I have Alkem brass relief numbered keystones, but I'm trying to find a number that would have been around the Allegany Division. I had intended to modernize this with the post war pilot, but I have a few Fleet of Modernism cars and need pulling, so I'm hoping this will match nicely. I acquired this a few days ago. The K4s is a Kato C55 modified with a Faulhaber motor and a Trix shell, Bachman tender and all wheel pickup.
Then I made up a small, simple barn kit for the Slocan valley.
Hacking away at "Sherman Hill" -Hopefully this qualifies as enough effort for Kato to announce an RTR version Cheers,-Mark
Mark - is that the Osborn Models barn? I have two of those put away for my farm scene. I will be interested to hear how it went together.Tim
