The IM 40' SS boxcar pilot was a nice surprise.  The IH looks good, higher than the Atlas model I think.  I was told there would be different roof and door combinations offered.  I don't know if there's a proto basis for the model but it looked good to me.

Great to meet many of the  :ashat: crew too.  Some new, some I haven't seen in a few years and some not in MANY years.  Great fun.  The Modutrak layout was terrific as always.  I still have a hard time believing they can cart around such fine work to show after show and not tear it up.  Impressive work fellas.

Just a suggestion on the SW1500 - eventually to do a couple of generic industrial schemes -  yellow with safety stripes or something...

Deluxe  had some decorated samples (boxed) of the Maxi-4's; these will be available later this year.  They are still fighting with the old factory in China to get their tooling released (I believe Dave said this marks the 3rd anniversary of this battle).

I didn't see Trainworx at the show.

More L&N hoppers! :D

Ahh, why edit when you can delete!  I need to remember that.

But yes, you can't really even say PS-3 without a picture of an L&N hopper.  I was hoping for this car:

Oh yeah, they were a big PS3 customer.  They had about 3,000 2 bays if I remember right. But they had over 6,000 3 bay 2750's and then they rebuilt a whole bunch of both to get more use and in some cases capacity out of. Yeah, if you're an L&N coal country modeller, you gonna be spending some money.

Plus, if you model the ACL or SAL those cars came south and awful as more power plants came on line AND, they came thru my area in the greater Cincinnati to head north on the C&O, Pennsy, NYC and too some extent the B&O too.

All I want tp say about the PS-3s is that I hope they include Great Northern in the first run and offer at least two single cars and a 3 pack.
Failing to prepare is preparing to fail.

Isn't that the prototype for the Roco/Trix hopper?

Seems the two 3-bay cars, which never have been done in N, are the better choice.

+1

GN doesn't have to be in the first run, but soon, I hope.
I’m not here to argue

Could be, but it's so far off the drawing that it could just as well be something else.

I've gone after this kit-bash a couple times and it always ends the same - it would be better and easier to start from scratch at witch point the time factor moves it back down the list.

My preference for the 2-bay is merely because I could have used it.  I don't see any 3-bays making the roster.  I haven't looked yet, but maybe the 3-bay will good a good car to try and cut down.

Absolutely - tools are there when you need them! (expecially when my mind is fried and I'm too lazy to edit).
