You could do signals on this layout - probably one set per side with one other thrown in. For Conrail of that era you could do CPLs (old Pennsylvanis RR signals) like Dave Vollmer.

Here are some photos:

I was not able to find any cork for the roadbed (this is starnge, because I live in a country where cork is a main source of income...), so I used Woodland Scenics foam for the main, and a thinner stuff for the sidings and spurs.

2,5cm thick of blue foam for the subroadbed, attached with my hot glue gun.

Still making some plans about the scenery, but I think I want to make a more urban style on the front side, and a more scenic approach of the back side. I am also think about having a small tunnel on the right side (fore ground) on the last picture, and some tall trees on the left side. This is for the scenic divider.

Hope it works.

Regards.

Hi all.

This layout has come to a stop for two reasons:

1st) I am going to be a father... ehhe So I need the room

2nd) I have been layed off from my work, meaning that I am earning less 40% off my salary.

I thank you all for the help, but need to make a pause.

Best regards.

Luis,

Wow.   On one hand, congratulations on becoming a father!  It's been so rewarding for me.  I have a nine-year old step-son and a twenty-one month old daughter.

On the other hand, I'm sorry to hear that you lost your job.  I wish you the best of luck on obtaining new employment as soon as possible.

But, regardless of the reason, the trains can wait.  They'll still be there when you return to the hobby.

Good luck,
