Testing my first picture post. This is a T-Trak module with a Walthers modular factory, The Atlas Middlesex Manufacturing Company and Tomix Substation Under construction.

Piddling with a puddle.  More on the story over in my Seaboard Central 2.0 thread in the Layout Engineering forum.

PRR EF17 (GP9B)

Following the excellent thread by Jonh Sing as a guide. This project has gone fairly well, but I still need to do the handrails. So the potential for disaster still exists.

Here the offending fans have been shaved off, filled, and sanded.

Proper fans added as well as the cab conversion parts and primed.

Never argue with idiots; they'll drag you down to their level, then beat you with experience.

Chris was kind enough to assist me with the development of the kit. I returned the favor by sending him a couple of pre-production samples. They will be released shortly.

This is my first attempt at scratch building a structure:

A PRR Tool Shed. This is being modeled off the one that was next to Rockville Tower/Bridge.

This is also the second structure I am putting together.

Surprisingly good progress on the double-decking this weekend.   Cutting up and mounting hollow core doors on shelf brackets makes things go really fast.

First off.. the helix (saved from the last layout) was mounted on its platform.

The upper deck benchwork connecting to the helix will contain the Alaska Hwy grade crossing of the BC Rail main line just south of Fort Nelson.  The lower deck coming out of the bottom of the helix will be the approach to the Fort Nelson River bridge

The main lower deck will contain the 3 span Fort Nelson River bridge which will be planked for dual rail and road traffic use.

After crossing the bridge the lower deck will lead into staging.  The upper deck will be extended to feature more Fort Nelson industries and may extend out into a peninsula to achieve this.

I caught up on some much needed modeling time this weekend and managed to finish my SAR/Kaslo/Kato SD40-2F and get some quick photos.

Nice work to all! Have a good week.

Nice to see some more TTrak on here.

Well this week we took this old layout ...

and we did this to it. He looks guilty doesn't he? It wasn't really him I'm just going to use it as blackmail someday.

... and of course thats when it hit me I don't have enough Atlas code 55 switches and I don't really want to handlay them  - and there aren't many to be had online.
Unless you all have a "source" to share.

I LOVE how clean all of this is. This is where I'm hoping to go. I'll be watching your build. Question though, what HCDoor's are that thin?
