I'd say contact your prefered retailer and have them order one (or "one more") for you.
In some instances the retailer may even have you only pay the price they pay Atlas. Of course that all depends on your relationship with said retailer.

Sound? Like the sound of the money leaving my wallet?  :D I doubt that I will buy any with sound, but the GN units are tempting (though they didn't make it to the BN merger).

Will be in deep when something like this is announced.

Until then, PRR or not???? Haven't quite decided yet.

I'd be in for some C&O's if they would do them. Until then, I may grab a Pennsy too. Now if someone would do a C&O AS616 with sound I'd be in debt for awhile.

I see them for $70, I can dig it. Guess I have to wait for Erie in the second run?

BLW listing them at $70 standard, $160 for DCC and sound. Not bad. There may be one of the undecs in my future.

It's great to see a model so many people like and with sound options to boot.  Four pages of Atlas-love.  Even the people snubbed by the paint schemes can't help the love.

Kato can't get more than 4 replies before the complaints come out.  LOL   :ashat: love their Atlas.

Yep. If it was in C&NW colors, I'd HAVE to have one. Instead, I simply would like to have one. But I won't mind playing with an undec.

A lot of that has to do with the roads released...

Atlas did a nice job offering loco's from roads all over the US and Canada– plus undecs.

did all S2s have the split pilot that the PRR had on theirs?

Or

Has anyone seen a pic of the Atlas model that shows the pilot?

And

I'm sure some folks have already considered swapping out the trucks for AAR type to make an S4? Or do I have that wrong?

NVM Have now seen pics with the split pilots, so good for PRR (and perhaps thay were all like that?)

And if Atlas hasn't changed the way their trucks attach to the frame, the trucks from, say, the VO1000 would make these S4s, YES?
Cheers,
Scott

More outside braced boxcars and an undec DC S-2 for me . I hope Atlas does the UP 50's scheme of the S-2 and S-4 , I really don't want to paint them up myself .

With a $100 difference between sound non sound it makes sound a little too rich for me.  Plus I've never been too happy with the quality of the sound in HO - O - S or N so its not going to be too much of a loss for me.  What will be a loss for me is how much weight is given up to fit a speaker in, in N scale even a 10 gram loss is significant when it gets to pulling power.

Does anybody know which of these paint schemes are "As Delivered"?

PRR?

B&M?

Others?
