...said the guy who can't seem to get the colors of his Gallizin station right!

I don't want to derail this thread, but I'm going to anyways...
That was hotly debated. It looked dark green to me, but others didn't see it that way. I wonder if there is anyone around who can conclusively say what color the station was.
Nearly all PRR stations I've seen were brown and buff.
Oh, and as a side note, when local soft serve ice cream eater Lee Weldon came over to tour my "length of track," he commented on how nice your Gallitzin prototype was, and said it was ready for him to plop down on his layout!

Joshua is fibbin.  High compliment from Lee, thanks!

Little more work on the loco shed tonight:

The two rear skylights will be roof vents with sheet metal lids...

The engine house is complete except for the office roof paint and the doors, which need to be scratch built, and a cupola that sits across from the furnace stack.  I made a few additional buildings for the gravel dealers as well:

Finished twenty linear feet of berm wall cap, one stone face at a time on styrene strips, (FINALLY):

Added strips to the front berm wall and added tunnel portals:

Painted an office and an equipment garage for the aggregate dealer along the front left bank of the channel:

Sweet rock work  :)

Now would be a good time to paint it.

Thanks Gents.  Dreading the paintwork on the stones, as it will likely be tedious, but if it turns out like my first attempt above I'll be very happy.

After I get the tower extension glued on I will finish the capping and put the grey latex on it.  then I am going to paint the rest of the foam and water areas.

In order to fit my backdrop I am going to have to move the half wall cap that is directly behind the layout.  Wish i'd have planned that a little better.

Anybody know of a fifties style garage kit that I can turn into a Hot Rod shop?  i think that will fit in well with the gang scene I want to add under the elevated trusses.  Was thinking that a barracks style steel drum building might work too...

Got all of the stone cap in place and glued in the bridge abutments on the dual bridge.  Painted the channel a Hudson River green. And will add darker undertones before doing a water pour.  Not sure if I'm even going to do one. I might try a thin gloss medium pour instead with slight ripples. Decided to add a filthy beach between the bridges on the right bank of the center channel and boat launch on the far right on the front edge for some interest there. Cant decide if I should do a marsh on the right between the ramp berm and the track on the right plateau...

Getting my turnouts ready for laying track... All 15 of the turnouts on the LIRR will be manually thrown by a 1:1 left or right index finger, so I made over-center springs from 0.015 phosphor bronze wire. They work really well saying to one side or the other. All of the turnouts are within immediate reach for me.

Yes Joshua, I forgot to add this kitbashed tower. Pennsified, but not true PENNSY, and that's OK with me. The kit started as a

I know we've gone round and round on this, with talks of paint colors and external stairs and all, but I do have one serious suggestion:
Put some brown trim on the bottom. I think it looks naked as it is. Prom a purely aesthetic standpoint, it will give it more visual cohesion. Plus, most PRR buildings I have seen all have that elaborate trim, even the crossing shacks and tool sheds have them.

I like 2 the best. Just enough grout line visibility (maybe tone it down just a tiny bit) and great stone coloration.

I like the coloring on the second picture better than #2, lighter on top and darker toward the bottom but you need to tone down the lines a bit. I get see a lot of PRR stone work here in central Pa.
