I took the resistors off and that had no effect they are still very dim and don't flash.

I was going to build the whole thing again and try the new one, but I found an Ngineering N8038 alternating flasher simulator in my parts box.

Hooked it up and only one side flashes. If I switch the wires then only the other side flashes. Grrrrrr see why I don't play with electronics, nothing ever works!

A photo of the circuit you built might help us look for possible trouble.

Ngineering e-mailed me back. I guess the NJ crossbucks are wired backwards to work with their board. He is going to e-mail me a diagram to make it all work. Right now I will wait for this because the flash is nice and slow, also the lights dim, get bright, dim as they flash. Looks pretty cool.

There are 3 wires coming out of each one. 1 common and 1 for each set of 2 LEDs (on either side of the signal)


You failed to mention where the resistors are in the NJ signals. Is there  one or two resistors? Are they hardwired or included separately?  What values is(are) they?  You can just provide the colors of the bands on them.

I assume that the common wire is the anode (positive) or else the LEDs would not light up at all.
