These are hard to find on a construction site today due to their small size, low power output and lack of a safety cage. . .

Oh, come out to SW Ohio, Indiana or Alabama sometime. They're still around.

In construction? Without a cage?

...made from scratch. Impressive!
He had a little help from Karin's laser :)

Yes, this is yet another example of Karin's masterful laser skills. It would not have been possible otherwise.

In construction? Without a cage?

I like tiny things - I think at least one will have to be ordered. Hopefully I'll be able get the school buses and this little gem in a single shipment.

DKS: you didn't cast the motor as a separate piece?!  That will make it harder for me to add the pistons inside it.

Lemosteam: this vehicle doesn't appear to be equipped with head or tail lights but I suppose a small LED headlight could be added on. I coudl call it "the Cyclops".   :D

Dave,

Looks great but leaves me with questions.
You say it is in three pieces, now I'm assuming here that that is left track, right track and
main body right? Also are you doing the blade and lift arms as separate details for
this, and the most important question is..........what scale  :? If it's N I'll need a dozen at
least!!!  :D

Thanks, Jon

Nicely done and muchly needed!

DKS, you will need to bring out your really nice Z-scale 55 gallon drums in N-Scale. Those old Cats consumed copious amounts of oil!! :D

I will be in for a half dozen of these when available!

The perfect accessory for crawlers out here in the NW would be a logging arch.

I would use them as flat car loads.  Any pictures or information how they were loaded?  I assume they packed as many on a flat car as possible, which would also have nice effects on your sales  :D

P.S.:  Found something on Google pictures:
