Everybody who now owns Kato's SSZ passenger train set with E-5 diesel or just any of the Kato E-5 diesels needs to look at the wonderful photo on page 7 of the latest December Trains Magazine. It is a nearly overhead front on view of the Illinois Railway Museum E-5 "Silver Pilot" and the Nebraska Zephyr trainset on the B.N.SF. mainline. Now set your Kato E-5 on the tracks and look at it from the same angle. The issue of the nose shape is clearly resolved. Kato's model looks "Dead On" to me. Only difference is the added on grabs on the top of the nose mandated in the late 50's? early 60"s? to frovied access to clean the windshield. Nate Goodman (Nato). Salt Lake, Utah.
