Question About Micro-Trains Bay Window Caboose

Way back when these cabooses first came out, I read somewhere (Atlas forum?) that the dimensions were off. Specifically, I read that the caboose body was too tall. Is that correct, or is it a vicious rumor? I'd like to get a couple if the dimensions are accurate.

I never did understand how :tommann: thought the caboose compared favorably to the prototype.  That's why I clipped out the comparative car sides to compare, and you can see how much taller and poorly proportioned the MTL car is.

To be blunt...

If you can get the Athearn version, go for it and forget the MT model.  The Athearn is all-around better.  Only drawback to the Athearn might be (depending on your opinion) the McHenry couplers.  But they have not been a problem for me, and could certainly be somehow replaced if you had to do that.
