Another outstanding effort by Mike Phillips and the entire Bedford Model Railroad crew.   :D

Just about everyone I talked to had a great time; what could be better than a weekend of running trains with friends?

I have so photos somewhere, but just got home about 2 hours ago and am too tired to sort through them.

Mike is already planning next year's event, which will be #9, and I've already got the weekend reserved on my calendar.

Smoothly run. Not crowded which allowed you to study the modules, inspect the vendor offerings, and visit without many interruptions.

Mike was also handling the DKS inventory. Stocked up on some of that. Sorry Dave couldn't be there, but medical problems don't respect the calendar.

The show is at the point where a larger venue is needed, but such a facility isn't available at the moment in that area.

We crossed the St. Lawrence River, waited at the border, drove down I-81, but alas, my plans to get to Bedford ended at a Target and Chipotle Grill in Watertown, NY...

It looked and sounded great, but 7 hours was a bit much this time.  Glad to hear it was a good show.

Drove up from Charlottesville, VA (about 3.5 hours) and stayed overnight (Traveler's Rest, $35). Enjoyed the show more than all the HO-dominated Timonium shows I've been to, put together.  There weren't a lot of vendors, but there were some terrific bargains to be had, plus a ton of long-out-of-production decals, detail parts, etc., that aren't easily found.   Not so crowded that you couldn't have a conservation with vendors and layout staff; learned a great deal. Met some neat people. Bedford area is beautiful. The town of Bedford is well worth a visit for the do-it-yourself architecture/history tour.  Had a great time! A suggestion:  Make name cards available so that those who know each other online can recognize each other -- too often, it seems, we have no idea what each other looks like!

What can I say?? Yet another outstanding weekend featuring ONLY N scale! Thanks Mike & the "crew" for putting together a quality operation. What's that saying? "It's not quantity, it's quality". The "Pig Roast" venue was a great addition. All in all, simply put a relaxed, enjoyable day(s) of comraderie and running trains.  :D

I enjoyed the show.  I saw some great modules and picked up some OOP merchandise and detail parts.  Bedford is less than two hours from me, so it is worth the trip.  Its proximity to Altoona on the NS Pgh Line (railfanning side trip) made it a great day trip for me.  Thanks.
