Those guys had dangerous jobs walking around moving cars. I like these old railroad programs from the good ole days of railroading.

I was impressed by how much freight was shipped in boxcars back then. And reefers too.

Two scientists create a teleportation ray, and they try it out on a cricket. They put the cricket on one of the two teleportation pads in the room, and they turn the ray on.
The cricket jumps across the room onto the other pad.
"It works! It works!"

Really cool and it wasn't the northeast either.  I enjoy the midwestern lines!!

That was before the trucking industries interstate highways..

There's been a small growth in boxcar loads over the past 3 years.

Very interesting video. Proviso yard is still there, but what about the other yards mentioned in downtown Chicago? Is there anything still there or has it all gone?
