HO weekend pics?

Have we thought about doing this?

I am in the process of planning an HO shelf switching layout, so I
don't have anything really at this point to contribute. One of the
reasons, I've decided to do this in HO is the availability of motive power,
rolling stock and detail and scenery items that are available in HO and not
N for this. 2x12 in N would be to big to try to fill. This area is
real compressed with a lot of detail.

Hi Chuck,

Looking forward to seeing more of your work on the ARR! I think that people have always posted HO and other scales in the Weekend Update, even though it lives in the N Scale Forum.

Best wishes, Dave

Yeah, historically on this forum the only active weekend update thread has been over on the N scale section, so all scale updates are posted there.

If there's enough HO scalers on this forum now, maybe we can make our own. (And maybe one of these days I'll actually have an update worth sharing. Summer's been busy for me.)

I was still able to access the site, even after the changeover, apparently with the old link but not anymore.  Thanks Chris, I bookmarked the new one.

I'm in on the HO update as well.  With Bowser doing all that Pacific Electric motive power (vo 1000 and As 616)I couldn't resist.  Since we won't see this stuff in N, well, gotta go with my interest.  I have a corner module that measures 2x3 and four 1'x4' shelf modules that ramp off both sides.  I am going to be doing a simple point to point with some citrus packing on one side, corner module to represent downtown  LA and the other wing featuring something a bit more out in the country with a bridge or two...possibly something in the Southern Region of PE.
Another motivater was my eye doctor sugesting I move up a few scales from here on out. :o)

So there will be a seperate thread for HO and N weekend updates?

I thought that was done before but it kind of petered out because most of the TRW are N-scalers.
Vincent

If N scale had good SD40-2s, C30-7s, U30Cs, SD45s, SD40s, and SW10s; I'd be in N scale.

Do people really feel hesitant about contributing their work in HO to the weekend update because it is hosted in the N scale forum? There is plenty of good work presented in scales other than N. I have yet to see anybody comment negatively about  the mix of scales. This seems like a solution to a problem that doesn't exist (in my opinion).

Quite a while ago we had a Z scale weekend update, as there have been occasional spurts of activity in Z. It lasted, what, maybe two weeks?--I don't even recall--before it was rolled into to the N scale WU after a few complaints of having to check multiple threads for recent modeling activity.

I'm still wandering around looking for a home since the Atlas Forum closed.

The Atlas Rescue Forum just hasn't taken off. I avoid the TrainBoard Forum... Why? I think it's the colors!

When I was in N scale, I was here on the RailWire as much as I was on the A-board. The HO forum was never active enough. Maybe it's time to take a second look...
