Prototype auto glass has been slightly tinted for decades. Does anyone know an easy way to replicate that? I remember, as a kid, of lightly misting the glass of 1/25 models with a metalic spray paint. Worked fairly well. I doubt it would work on 1/160 windows, though.
My order arrived today, and the clear and formerly colorless plastic window insert is heavily tinted. As I recall, tinting this dark did not come out until the 1980s.Around 1992 Idaho passed a law banning dark window tinting. Those of us that already had cars with the dark tinted windows had to have them inspected by the state police in order to "grandfather" around the law.Carter

I wish DM Toys carried the MZZ line. Lots of interesting stuff there and they have been upgrading their tooling recently.
