Well now, there's a seller who stands opposed to Kato's MAP pricing rule...

Kleins has been blowing them out the door at that price (29.99/34.99) for awhile now. Looks like I can make some more BeanO RDC's on the cheap.

It helps when you are the official train supplier to Tony Soprano.
Its actually a nice store, but the help could be a bit friendlier. Bonus points for being next door to two adult movie stores. Its still miles above The Red Caboose. [shudders]

Every time I go, I leave with at least two brown bags. heh heh

There's a shyness found in reason
Apprehensive influence swallow away
You seem to feel abysmal take it
Then you're careful grace for sure
Kinda like the way you're breathing
Kinda like the way you keep looking away

I'm guessing that MAP doesn't apply to these.

Haven't these been deleted from the Kato range???  Doesn't the Kato map policy place discounting restrictions on their products for the first three months after their release date?

Ordered a pair of RDC3s undec. In the time period of my layout, Conrail was handling commuter service and regional rail, so it is conceivable that a light branch like mine could have a once a day mail-passenger run to the two towns along the line.

From your described it sounds like they were being very friendly.  You have to remember that you're dealing with people from Brooklyn. :D  If they were unfriendly to you, you wouldn't be here telling us about your experience - you would be sleeping with the fishes!

Is this the place that used to be in Manhatten?  Remember going there during fleet week years ago and even in my uniform the sales people were a bunch of Dicks - with a capital D.

IIRC, you are thinking about America's Hobby Center.

Yep, that's the place.  Did buy a couple pieces of brass cheap there despite the help.

This where I have been picking up my RDCs for my Metroliner II projects from them for awhile now, but I go to Trainland their second location in Lynnbrook.  That's where they actually filmed the scenes at.

I have also been picking up the Kato MR 75th Anniv containers from them for $4 a pop to repaint and decal later.

The only problem I have with Trainland/Trainworld is they are very ignorant about N Scale, but that is also a plus as one can find some very deep discounts on items you would never see otherwise.  The owner is a pretty decent and cool guy.

Map Pricing only applies to new products before their release and either 3 or 6 months after.
