@Mike C,

I'd say that I'm half to two-thirds of the way through the box, and certainly the quality of large tree structures will go downhill from here.  I have built exactly twenty-four trees so far, and the box is advertised as thirty trees on average.  I think I'll get more than that, at least from this box.  I'm hopeful that the two boxes of Super Trees that I bought will be all that I need to forest my HCD.

All. To straighten out the trunks on your super trees take a warm soldering iron and hold it close to (not touching) the trunk away from the curve. Then gently straighten the trunk by pushing toward the soldering iron till straight and quickly remove the iron. Use a smallish iron to get in between the branches.
This system works a treat and you will not need to hang your trees.
I retro bent my trees in situ after a friend suggested this and it works.

I think we need to have a T-Trak party up in Delaware.

A party you say? If that's the case, I can bring a standard single module.

Does this work using a lightbulb instead as heat source?

No idea I've only ever used a soldering iron.

Thanks, Rich!  They really do change the feel of the layout, and I've only populated one corner of the layout so far.  I look forward to running the trees up the ridge in the center of the layout and framing the kudzued area to give the layout a more finished look.  But, because of life getting in the way, I'm only averaging about a dozen trees every few weeks.  Hey, that just about averages one tree per day.  :facepalm:

I thought the standard was "a few trees every night" ;)

Well, I didn't think I'd need the option for the hinging staging yard so quickly, but the water company is harassing me to change out the water meter.  Of course, they can only do this during regular working hours, so I have to take time off from work to convenience them.  Oh, and they threatened to turn the water off, if we didn't comply.  :x  Being a good husband and father, I can't let that happen.  So, I'm leaving work early tomorrow, to allow the water company to invade my home between the hours of 3:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.  My boss is ecstatic about this.

Anyhow, in the event that the water company doesn't have the most careful workers in the world, I cleared the yard and folded it up, to ensure that there's sufficient room to swap out the water meter.

The water meter is just out of this shot to the left, so this ought to give them plenty of room.  Now, I shouldn't have to worry about (or need to move) the layout.

lol they changed out my water meter a couple years back and it only took a few minutes.

They said my old water meter could be read by just driving down the street and the new one could let them read it from downtown. Whatever I still hear the meter guy at the side of my house once a month.

It's the same deal with the new electric meters they are installing. It lets a person just drive around in a vehicle to collect usage info. I still can't figure out how they took the old meter out and put in the new digital meter without us loosing power?
