I'm thinking maybe pipe flats, like the ones that carry those big, well, sections of pipe.

They probably use the existing flat cars (ie, the ones BLMA has).

That'd be my guess.

If that's right, I'm in trouble......need lots of 'em.

I'm pretty sure at one point some months ago Craig himself said right here they planned to do the pipe carrying version of the 89' flatcar....

That would be cool. I'm getting a number of the F89's even though they're not exactly proto for pig service in Canada, but the F89 with pipe, that is plausible.

I just wish it was a PD hopper, but I'm not that lucky.

+1.  I'd love to have a reason to buy a set of those.

I'm guessing we're in for some F89-J PTTX pipe flats:

Which should make for some interesting loads on our layouts - an opportunities for the detail manufacturers out there (NZT, Hay Bros etc). Wonder if BLMA will serve these up with a load too?

Maybe some JTTX or MTTX F89Js after?

As much I wish for a BLMA tank train, I can't imagine Craig advertising them without reference to them being a nice set of cans.....

A nice pipe load, with scale thickness pipe walls (at least near the ends), fine banding, and dunnage, would be awesome, even if this announcement has nothing to do with pipe flats.

Have the F89J's ever been in windmill service?  I want to have this train too:

F89J pipe flats.  Check.
Pipe loads.  Check
PTTX conversion kits.  Check.
Win, win, win.
