And a few hoppers.

Partial ownership of an NFL franchise, a victory over the Bears...and my mother-in-law for a week. Two out of three ain't bad!

Best wishes, Dave

Sorry about the Packer stock but as you said, "Two out of three ain't bad!" :D  Unfortunately the victory over my Bears isn't a very unique gift lately.  Enjoy the Mother-in-Law!

As for me, I got a G gauge 40 foot double door Milwaukee Road boxcar to run on the outdoor club layout next spring while I root for my Chicago Cubs.  Optimism in Central Illinois is that Spring will come and the Cubs will win the Series!
Best regards,

Roger

My Naval Institute Membership got renewed. A Sony Cybershoit camera so I don;t have to take my SLR to places it doesn't need to go.

Only train related thing is the Trains Magazine Collection on DVD. That's pretty cool. Also got cash to spend at the January train show if anything shows up.

Got one addition to my list.  My younger sons birthday is the day after Christmas so We went to his house for his birthday party.  My older son worked on Christmas so I didn't receive his gift until the birthday party.

Anyhow, he gave me a Brookstone Instant Slide & Negative Scanner.  Will play around with it today and try and convert a ton of slides (most non train related).

Here is an example of the first slide I transferred.

My wife "gave" me two custom painted Rock Island U-25Bs from Atlas.

OK, OK, so I bought them from a guy who was trying to sell them on the RITS List for a couple of months. I bit after he lowered the price a second time. Two for $90 bucks shipped! And they seem prototypical according to my Morning Sun book and all pictures I have found online. Win for me! Wish they were EMDs but I will go after an occasional GE product.

And, in the 1:1 scale, I had quite an eclectic train on 12/23. We were using our Conrail Express SW900 and amongst the cars in tow were a Route Rock (MWCX reporting marks) and BN covered hoppers amongst the sea of gray and black.
