Still need to install the bridge track and add ripples to the water.

I have been watching your project on the blog and have been very impressed, but that water makes it a stunning scene- great work as always Daryl!

My best,
Jan

Bryan, that is awesome!  Can't wait to see it done.  You going green or McGinnis?

They didn't last long enough to be repainted into red/white/black, so my two will be green - one with classic Dumaine gold striping to pull the Federal, and the other probably with the elegant Brook Bros silver pin-stripes to pull the Yankee Clipper.  Still a ways to go before having resin bodies to paint.  I'm working on the EP3 and EP5 as well.

@Erik W,  The DPM Wood furniture kit is one of my favorites.  If one finds them at a sale price they are an economical start for other structures as well.

"Wearin a Western maryland hat to a football game; isn't that like takin a knife to a gun fight...? LOL
When people talk about the difference between American's and Canadian's I usually point to high school football; you can get thousands of fans to a US high school football game; you can't get 100 fans to a Canadian high school football game, if you can actually find one....never mind a collage game of any ilk.; but here you can sell out a 6000 seat arena for a jr. A hockey game.....
Model railroading isn't saving my life, but it's providing me moments of joy not normally associated with my current situation..... Train are good!

The announced attendance was around 7500, which isn't bad for a mid-size suburban state university.  The WM hat works as the school colors are black and gold.  Being a Ravens fan, this is the only time I'm allowed to wear these colors...

Never heard of a sports team called the 'Spiders'.  Has to be a story there.

Roger-- I enjoyed seeing your Bunn Capitol warehouse since Bunn is based here in Spfld, IL.  For those of you that have a Bunn-O-Matic coffee maker its the same family and they are (mostly) still made here.  The Bunn's also own the banks, country club, etc

Thanks for spreading some central Illinois icons on SNFF.
Best regards,

Roger

University of Richmond, Dave Foxx's alma mater, fields a team called the Spiders.  To my knowledge, it's the only sports organization that has an arachnid for a mascot.  As you can see, my Towson Tigers washed the Spiders out...

A team I played against in high school also has an arachnid for a mascot. The Fordyce Red Bugs from Fordyce, Arkansas. Incidentally that is the team that Paul "Bear" Bryant played for.

@ Roger Holmes et. al.
My grandfather and father were grocers and Bunn-Capitol was one of their primary wholesale sources for groceries.  I have never seen any of the actual buildings, but selected that name since my main city is hypothetically Springfield, IL because I am modelling the Shawneetown, via Flora to Beardstown, IL branch of the B&O with a lot of poetic license.   :D

"...with a lot of poetic license."

No need to be poetic... any old modeler's license will do just fine...
