Bachmann also has a new 50' single door box car with roofwalk that seems to be based on PS design. But ... based on photos and a in-hand inspection they screwed up the angle on the roof - making this model useless for even mildly serious modelers:

.. that seems to be based on PS design.

-10 internets for you.

First of all, not even close to a PS design.

Besides possibly the worst diagonal panel roof ever made,  the 4/5 dreadnaught ends (and I use that description kindly) go back to cars from the late 30's.  By the 40's the 4/4 improved dreadnaught had replaced it.

This car has a new date of '53.  I'd have to look and see if a new box car was made with those ends in the ten years previous to that date.

Uh well, I didn't really feel this model required any serious thought. But you win, I lose 10 "internets". :D  The roof rendering is so horrible that to waste any thought on it beyond this post ... would be stupid.  :P

I agree, the car isn't worth talking about, but saying it looks like a PS design is worth a comment in case there are people out there who even care.

Anytime you want to blast a car because the roof is off by 2 degrees, I'm on board.

Somewhat ironic that the C.G. car in the posted link has the slogan, "The Right Way."

It's Bachmann. This is shooting fish in a barrel.
