Has anyone else had issues with Fox Valley wheelsets shorting out Atlas C55 turnout points?  I had it happen a few weeks ago during an op session.  Really messed things up for about an hour.

What shorted exactly?  The Atlas turnouts are "DCC Friendly" so a metal wheel set shouldn't cause a short at the points ever... The points are the same polarity as the adjacent stock rail.

Well, that's what I thought too.  The wheel tread is wide enough that it contacted both the stock rail and the open point.  We ran the car through by hand 10-15 times and replicated the layout short every single time.  The turnout acted like a hand-laid or ME turnout, but it is an Atlas C55.  Very weird.
