BLMA Trinity Reefers

Surprised no mention of these here (I guess because they didn't run on Penn Central???   :D )

This may be the best n-scale freight car yet - amazingly well rendered - and very heavy...   I recognize these are not everyone's cup of tea being so new, but wow, these are amazing models.

Mine are on the way, but the pictures look outstanding.  This makes me want the massive 82' BNSF version even more than I already did.

+1.

Maybe Craig will consider it...considering he seems to realize that single road name cars can still sell well. Maybe a Tank Train too?

My Chuck-Pak is on the way :-)

Mine just got here and they are awesome!!  My only complaint (not really, just amuzing) is that the first one out of the box the refridgeration unit was upside down.
Can't model worth a darn, but can research like an SOB.

No use to me, but they sure look great.

Going inside-out waiting for the F89's though  :scared:  They look really, really, really awesome in the pictures I've seen so far!

These are most definitely incredible cars. We had a few with the walkways under the reefer unit loose in the box but they were an easy fix.

I'm surprised that nobody has mentioned the other "first" on these cars. The bearing caps on the trucks are painted as well as a service stencil. Printing on the trucks is just one more thing that raised the bar.

Might not have just been the refridgeration unit... Perhaps the trucks were on upside down?  Wait also the lettering, etc...  :D

James, would love a BNSF train as well.  Don't they have some with and without the ICE and the mountains?

Craig continues to amaze me with the products he's putting out.  If I was doing present day I would jump on getting these.  Wish someone would do some proper Tropicana/CSX modern reefers, because even thou I modern mostly transition era I do sometimes run a modern train just for kicks.

There's some sort of licensing issue with the Tropicana cars, or so I've heard, due to policies of it's corporate owner, Pepsico. I know Pepsi cars have been done by MTL - so who knows what the issue really is...

Somebody did their own decals (on HO Trincool cars) and posted photos on Trainorders recently and was very secretive about the whole thing, which makes no sense because I believe there is nothing to stop you from doing anything for your own use - and why post photos on the internet if you don't want anyone to know about it?

You never know, though, maybe Craig will find a way to ship real orange juice in those cars and sort it out...
