SOLVED: Cant get logged in or see past home page

All 3 of my home computers suddenly can't get on Railwire regardless of what I do. I get the home page and then every button I push I get IE can not connect. Used the "www.therailwire.net/index/ forum.php" addy ( or forum/index - but it was what Lee sent me and no joy. Yet here I am on my Blackberry and am on ...its like my IP is banned or blocked - any ideas gang....help !

My laptop was doing the same same last night but my desktop works like a champ.  Haven't checked the laptop today.

That makes it sound like a setting in the brouser but what ? I have about as much computer knowledge as I do information about the world of underwater competitive kniting......experts - help !

Well, the DNS servers switched over last night for me, but I suppose that it could take a few days for everyone.  If dumping cookies doesn't work, maybe it is just a matter of waiting.

I have turned the machine on and off - no help - how does one "dump cookies" in IE 8 ?
( I wasn't kidding about computer knowledge....)

Ok; so I've removed cookies, killed all temp internet files, restarted the computer and still can't get past the front page or log in - tried googling the railwire - can't get in that way - only website affected... Could the new server be blocking the IP ? Help - I can't stand Railwire via Blackberry...

Ok: now I've tried using firefox - type in "www.therailwire.net" - it comes back with http:// www. The railwire.net/forum/index.php - firefox can't fine the server at www.therailwire.net.... Wtf ?

How can both IE 8 and FF be screwed up on my box and how can all three boxes not find the site.....

I need help..

Should be all set now. DNS servers changed last night. Clear your cache and try again.

I was having issues last night and I did the following (on windows):

Start -> Run -> cmd

at the prompt, type nslookup therailwire.net

This forces your computer to reset the DNS so if you are still having trouble, do that,

I tried and am getting very frustrated. All other sites work fine. IE 8 and fire fox tried - both say basically site not found. Only old addy gets me to home page I guess but it dosent wprk. Googling Railwire and clicking on links doesn't work.... I'm at a loss to know what to do next....

I guess unless someone can help me this is the end of Puddy on Therailwire. Nothing I do is working - I've reset the router; eliminated the cookies, temp files and re-booted... I can't get into the site via any links I find - neither firefox nor IE works and I've tried 3 computers.

Either there is some glitch on the new server or some DNS issue that is way above me or there is an issue with 3 computers ...

Either way; unless a solution is found - guess I'm gone.....if you have any ideas send me an email at mmcgrattan@cogeco.ca

Just to expand on my previous post, everyone still having issues, please attempt the following:

Try each of the following (if you are on windows):

Start -> Run -> cmd

at the prompt, type nslookup www.therailwire.net

If that doesn't work, try the following (again on Windows):

Start -> Run -> cmd

at the prompt type ipconfig /flushdns followed by nslookup www.therailwire.net

Just so you know, when I do the nslookup on my machine, I get the following IP address: 206.188.192.134

Pud,
On Firefox, go to the Tools tab, select Clear Recent History, then choose Clear Everything.  It will get rid of everything in your cache, which is a bit of a pain, as you'll have to go back and reset a bunch of passwords.  But you should be able to go to www.therailwire.net, and log in, and you'll be in like Flynn.
