I didn't want to hijack Allen's great thread but I wanted to be sure that the method I described to him still in fact works as I described.

Edited to add that I am using Firefox on Windows at the office.

Yup I see it too Bryan.
Thanks.
No worries about Hijacking the thread, you're just trying to help.   ;)

I see it on my iPhone and Chrome.

Here is the element that I found when I "inspected it"

https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/IJ7jsoybitqv-TYTBp98KhOt-9kHCbWUxW--RDyMNrRiIAPjRJN9zbPR_mSkwJUqveP-bfNcaakUDriShR1Xzf1AjaiQVmdBhxF-oYIMWnE_H9JoNFN3S4Gkbl5QKz1rZZIa1HVllNvRB4votBYHT5m1huZGlyNy88Y7Ufoq9kbsUAviQ1ZsWHN6mJUah2hlkt5LT2TZ4k9JRjohQZf41MhXupVtyt_tLavmR1F5Mv2jVoptpeWo3gpGHUc_f_jtYOych1_nI1on5L5EfACrfFysmJ6KsZWTJjdvWcV2S6NS9oFyygnBrTt6et8kswbOPkg5synLyiIbTim3a9fzbAafa1H6hAfefGXgA8Bp4jcRnrZkquklEsXBk5T1hLuV302UJr6_s1RNhX5kgRLwciMUCNWnozHBuIdwZ_efj5Jv9iOvvAU9-7-0TNI5JIGgCXFY6GXam2iXePI1L0X_LYfDgVPHh6l6CVY9r4j1_ug3o6V8kzNJaxtSvDnLsDDFrvgGsIbZrToyVQE1jV8qw61UUNUwkB1gQyU5DPV4cA6YtVCOULSTzc2NTMgUbcTrbWCMK2mXOfVx6dNNjGQ_6UKDYLFarFNwY76wDMqTh3iMtAeH=w800-h531-no

It looks just like what I would see when I posted mine.

Here's another try with the same image directly from my Google Photo album.
I enlarged the image, right clicked on it and copied the image address.
It shows in the Preview, but can anyone else see it?

This was copied from the blog by enlarging it and right clicking on the image and copying the "image address"
Notice it's a shorter address and it ends with ".jpg"

With apologies to Allen, @Chris333: what is the first car behind the loco and who makes it? A kit? I want one!
Thanks, Otto

Allen, I see the 2 photos in your last post. Wonder what was different? All my photos are direct from Google photo albums as well.

Otto, That is a PRR boxcar from Mark4Designs. It was 3D printed long before Shapeways, but he is no longer in business. I forget who did the decals, but they are not that great: https://goo.gl/photos/ZHeWCsTnsKjHA37e9

LOL, I think you need glasses or get a newer subscription Peter!
He's holding one of the mini flashlight coupler pics I made awhile back.  ;)

Oh yeah, I'll be sure to tell Jon you think he's ugly.

This is the first time I've had issues with posting pics from Google Album, even after they switched over?
I haven't the foggiest idea what's different?

I know when I uploaded the 12 photos from the last Ops session last week, I put them in a new album, but like I said, I made sure they were Shared?  When I noticed they were having troubles, I moved them to my normal album where I keep all my Blog photos, even then they didn't work?
I was kind of thinking maybe they had some time limit that had to be reached before they became visible?

Who knows?

Last night I got started with the installation of the new PSX4, tonight I got it installed!
Pretty simple and straight forward.

They seem to work as described but I'm not real happy with the blue Buzzers I installed on the boards.
I could hear the soft clicks of the PM42, but these new Buzzers have a VERY high pitched whine that I can barely hear.

Here's the blog post.

Allen:
Those PSX breakers are good units. I have them installed under my layout. I briefly considered investing in the "sonalert" approach but decided that I would instead solder wires to provide the remote LED short indication from each, to give a visual when shorted. I'm thinking of mounting the indicators "up high" (above my relatively low backdrop) so I can see them wherever I happen to be standing, rather than on the fascia.

I decided that the start-stop effect of the power being "off" due to short and then briefly back "on" to determine if the short was resolved, provided some local indication of an issue sans sonalert. I can actually "hear" the short as a very quiet high-pitched squeal, similar to placing a quarter across the rails.

So I've heard.  Looking forward to see how well the operate.

I had the same thought as well, and I may have to revert to that if the buzzers are as loud as they are going to be.

You have better ears than I have then!

Allen,

Upon further thought, maybe you should experiment with some Ductape (maybe several layers), over the hole in front of the sonalert, to see if you can "tamp down" the volume. That's what Red Green would do, right?

It would less of a pain in the a$$ then removing the PSX, unsoldering the sonalerts, then putting the whole shebang back together.

Good luck,

Paul

Heck, I thought that was YOU. John's a fine gentleman I'm sure.

Wasn't some guy recently murdered by his wife with a coupler pic?

LOL, Red Green, yes, yes that would be the only fix in his books, might have to give it a try? LOL
The volume isn't the problem, it's the KHz.  They are at 3.4KHz.

I contacted DCC Specialties and they replied and said that there is another on that I might try.  It's 17dB louder and it rates at 2.5KHz.

Not familiar with the rating system, but if it's a lower tone it would be nice.
Removing the boards and wires will not be a big deal, just a few screws and it should come right out.
De-soldering might be a pain?  But if it means I can hear it, it'll be worth the effort.
