But of course!
Typical of the way things happen....
Well at least it's for wider than 8' sheets, might have to get a set?
Thanks.

But have you ever seen a real load like that?

Probably a couple of bucks in material I suppose?
But the racks would be a good variation.

I think they would pass for most eras, 1940+

I'm inspired to pull out some bulkhead flats and give this a try!  Thanks for posting.

I've been working a few small projects lately, tonight I had a package waiting for me when I got home.

For those of you who use an uncoupler pic, are you tired of trying to see in between those closely coupled cars?

I've had a rather busy spring and summer this year with not much train time.  Last November I started with my Kitchen remodel by getting all the small stuff (doors, drawers, face frames, etc) built and ready, except for the cabinet boxes.  Worked on them for several months, then took a bit of a break for a few months until I got some CNC router time at a friend's cabinet shop just before Memorial Day.  By the 4th of July I had the cabinets all built and finished and ready to install.  Then I prepped everything so I could install the cabinets.
I just finished a few weeks ago.

I started with this

And ended with this

If anyone is interested in the progression of the project, you can see the entire process as I blogged it from start to finish.  At the bottom of each post there is "Jump Link" to the next kitchen post that will by pass other posts.  I think there are about 23 post in all.
Pictures and videos are included that show a lot of the process as well as most of the equipment that I used along the way.  Most was done in my shop, some was done at a buddies shop who has a nice CNC router.

So now with my project behind me I can feel good again about going downstairs and working on the layout.  I've got a long "To-Do" list to work on which includes replacing two PM42's with 7 PSX CB's and one PSX-AR.  Then I plan to do quite a bit re-alignment of the tracks to hopefully improve the operations.  There are about 5 locations where I'll be re-aligning the mains, adding spurs and removing a Jct siding then lengthening another siding.  Hopefully then I can return Malvern and a few other locations to get back on the scenery again.

But before I could started on the list, a package arrived from Doug Midkiff a few weeks ago.  I contacted him back in March to see if he could paint a few locomotives for me.  I did most of the body work and added the details then sent them off to him.

He sent them back looking like this

The F3B I had Doug paint and I did the decal work.  Since their arrival I've worked on getting them back together, chipped and speed matched in prep for an upcoming ops session I have scheduled for the 8th of Oct.

More pics of the locos can be seen on the blog.
Once I got them done I took'em for a spin.

It's good to be working on the layout again...

I'm glad that you're back to working on the layout.  I was beginning to believe that you no longer had a layout.
