Corrugated siding

I'm working on designing some grain elevators and am looking at siding alternatives. I'm favoring Builders in Scale (www.builders-in-scale.com/bis/parts-metal.html#cor) strip corrugated siding; which comes in three widths - 7' 6", 10', and 14'.

What decision factors are there in use of the different widths? And what length for the sheets are standard?

I always assumed that the sheets were 4x8 in real life, but I have no idea.  I used the Builders in Scale stuff on my Nn3 coal dump:

Would have looked better if I colored each piece beforehand, but that takes time...

The stuff on my garage is 42" wide, and the sheets are about 10' long.
