So far those look very nice. A few observations, there are no diamond tread on walkways, no ladder rungs on the ends of the hoods and no "fake mu's"... I'm not complaining, maybe these are not finished, maybe they figure we'd rather have stand alone mu's and rungs (I would).....Not too bad at all !
Originally posted on Atlas forum by Brokemoto#5608 was a DRSP-4, a passenger unit. NYCS painted most of the DRSP-4s grey, but there were some that were black, so this may not be a big deal. More than one detail manufacturer sells EMD road switcher steam generator stacks, so, again, it is possible to deal with this.AND NOW, for the glaring error. Only subsidiary roads had 'NEW YORK CENTRAL SYSTEM as the road name. Only two NYCS subsidiaries had GP-7s, Pitteburgh and Lake Erie and Peoria and Eastern. P&LE's were Pacemaker Green, not black. P&E's were black, but had the P&E herald on the cab and the road number on the short hood. #5608 was not assigned to either P&LE or P&E.
In the following images, the engine on the right is an Atlas GP7:I'll put them to track tomorrow.
Everything blends. Just a general rule of model railroading...
