I'm not even a PRR fan, but the improvement over the NJ International cousin is stunning.  Maybe if you get the rest built and installed and working, Bernie will be persuaded to stop playing with those Oversized ACW trains of his and run these kits again.

I'm as impressed with the base as I am the signal.  That base is spot-on.

It's alive!!! The signal runs through all 3 aspects as operated by a photocell between the rails where the cabin car (caboose) is. once the train clears the photocell, a timer keeps each aspect at 10 seconds until clear.

My take?  Brilliant.  Once I got over the fear factor and buckled down I began to realize just how well designed these kits are.  The only thing I couldn't do, probably due to lack of proper tools, is to trim the extra hoods for the "restricting" aspect without damaging the others.  So, I left them.

Would love to have one with functioning lower aspects with the edges trimmed.  Looking at the picture above, this mast is screaming for a second aspect for the diverging route.

Hey Dave, at your convenience, could you snap a photo of the photocell as it is installed between the rails?

Dare I say it?  The c80 rail now looks like dookie.  One improvement begets another...

Funny you say that, because as I look at the picture with the new signal, for whatever reason it makes the code 80 look less offensive to me.  Not sure why.  I think the giant signal heads (wider than the track) exacerbated the rail height.  Maybe it's just the photo.

I think getting the new signals in will be a good stopping point so I can take the photos for GMR.  We'll see if I have time and coin at the next assignment to do the big switch.

Then there's part of me that wants to start again...the part that isn't willing to wait the next few years before I retire from the service.

Awesome signals!  unfortunatley I dont have any of the Alkem targets :( So I have to wait on the Traincat signals.

No problem.  Both the Logic Rail Tech and the Alkem products are excellent as is each company's respective service.
