Can anyone confirm for me that the TCS AMD-4 decoder is a drop-in fit for hte Atlas N Scale ALCO C-420?  it is listed as such on TCS' website but the page showing the installation comes up blank.

Thanks,

Tim, that is the info we got from TCS at the shop. Drop them an e-mail if you'd like (they will reply) to be certain. I think this is a "loosen the frame screws, take out the factory light board, slip in our board, clip the motor strips so they wrap around the new circuit board" installs. PS: I've been using 37/63 low-temp solder and a micro-iron and soldering those strips on circuit boards. 100% positive contact and not difficult, but it's not a requirement.

Thanks - I have sent an e-mail so hopefully I will get a reply.  I spoke to them about the C-420 at the N Scale Convention and they were unable to answer my query, so I was hoping to hear from someone who has done it.
