The items above are flat end rib side twins painted in 1950s schemes for a class that was peak end fishbelly (Atlas has these nailed) and most likely never saw 1950s style lettering. (class HL was completely rebuilt into class H-9 starting in the late 1940s thru the early 1950s).

What HL should look like:



For N&W H2a let's review the 70 ton 3 bay rib side peaked end options (think fleet here), here's the N scale list:

A) MDC/Athearn 70 ton 3 bay rib side peaked end hopper.
B)

Oh crap there is no B!
