I was hoping they might offer both 12ft and 10ft door variations (like Red Caboose does with the beer cars), but they have a photo of the red SRY model in HO further down the blog page and it has 12ft doors too.  Oh well.  I may spring for a few anyway, but I'm mainly interested in the FBOX.  Hopefully they'll offer the other TTX lettering variant eventually too.

Let the good times roll.   8)

I wonder if Exactrail did buy up Huberts stuff? The Trinity 5161 is the old LBF tooling, that much I'm sure. But apparently they have a good start and are moving rapidly to penetrate the N and HO market. Will be interesting too watch and another vendor I'll have to deal with happily.

The 5161 is not old LBF tooling...

Got three of the FBOX cars today, and and they are nice!!! ;D[img[/img]
The cars have some nice detail like the end ladders and the underside brake detail. All they need is the eched metal walkway but that what BLMA is there for.
They are definetly not LBF/Hobet tooling since I got them side by side with them. Only thing I dont like is the truck are mounted like the Athearns cars so it going to be a small pain to put MT on them. Also looks like they were made in the same factory as that Athearns uses.

Here are some picture with the LBF car for comparison, LBF car on the right.

Sundowner,

ExactRail's PC&F car's roof is a separate casting. Can you tell if this car's is too?

Failing to prepare is preparing to fail.

I just picked up my 2 FBOXs today, they are awesome. I have an LBF FBOX also, the Exactrails are heavier, the roof is not sticking up or coming off, the detail and stirrups are better, very very nice, I think I'm gonna order some more. I am happy with the Athearn trucks and McHenry couplers, they couple well and run smooth. Nice work here.
my best,
Jan

Got pics of that series?  I've only seen the one scheme on the Trinity's... but I don't get a lot of FBOX's in my area.
