Wow.  I think the lettering is ok for the later numbers:

Looks like a nice car!  The other roads should be good too.  My poor wallet...

Gary - you're 100% right and I Was just about to amend my post!

I have never seen one of these later cars - so I plead ignorance!

Wow, how long before they start doing ALL the old LBF/Huberts line?

I was about to say the same thing buy I believe this is a new car. These cars are 50'. The previous Huberts/LBF car, which I have setting on my desk right now is a 60'.

The new car has 6 verticle ribs, vs. 7 ribs on the 60'. The door appears to be wider on the 50' also.

The PCF car was not in the LBF line - and my cars (SP, WC) are about 100 times better in build quality and printing/paint - no comparison.

LBF always seemed to use computer fonts for lettering...

Skipgear - LBF did TWO 50 footers - the NSC narrow door and the Trinity wide door.

I have a couple of the NSC cars right here - two SRY schemes.

LBF also did TWO 60 foot cars - Gunderson and NSC.

I stand corrected. The Huberts box that my 60' FBOX is in has no I.D. or part number what-so-ever on it so I had no reference.

Just like the HO model... the N model only matches the Trinity built TTX FBOX's with a 12' door.

The red SRY 'Catalyst' cars comes a close second... Trinity built, though it's proto has a 10' instead of a 12' door.

The CN cars are a distant third... Trinity built cars with 10' doors, different side stake pattern though:

The blue SRY cars are NSC cars with 10' doors:

Steve - I was originally going to post "Exactrail announces GEVOS" just to be a pain in the butt...

Robb - thanks for the photos. Of course LBF's NSC model did match the blue SRY car, so I better keep it!  I think there were Boxcar red ones too.  So the TTX are probably the keepers of this lot...

I wonder if Exactrail did buy up Huberts stuff? The Trinity 5161 is the old LBF tooling, that much I'm sure. But apparently they have a good start and are moving rapidly to penetrate the N and HO market. Will be interesting too watch and another vendor I'll have to deal with happily.

Just so happens I took some pictures of a whole line of FBoxs in storage last week. Looks like there is some variation in the lettering.

Some of those used to be down on the Hartwell. I didn't see anywhere near as many last easter as last fall. I was wondering where they went.
