So, I picked what I thought was a nice "tan" color.. I think it was based off an old MR scenery book I had a while back.  I took the sample in and had Ace scan for color.

Now that it's on, it just looks a wee bit dark for my taste..




It's a little darker in the photo.. but even so.. How can I lighten up the color a bit without having to repaint the entire thing white?

Tips anyone?

I think it looks just fine.  By the time you have added ground cover and other foliage, you won't even think about it.
I'm sure that it bothers you more because there is just so much of that color right now.

Take a small amount of the base paint and add white to create a highlight color and add that. Use some black wash and finish with white dry brushing. If all else fails, refer to Tom's Weathering Book!!

I already poured a bunch of salt on it, but it didn't make a difference  ;)
