I'm not familiar with the design you posted, so I'm not sure of era or region.

That said, there is a severe lack of "modern" intermodal equipment.  For the most part fixed assets (e.g. a crane) is not used to load them anymore, it's all the loader/forklift sort of thing.   N scale of nevada made the piggy packer back in the day.  Someone else makes one model, but I think that is it.  I don't know a lot about the equipment, but I know it's an area that is lacking.

Dave, I'm pretty sure I have more shots of the larger cranes. I'm at work and will look for them later.

Well it isn't the best photo and about to rain, but here is one of the larger ones behind McDonald Steel:

Has to be over 1000 ft. long

And here is another at the GATX plant in Masury, OH (not Sharon, PA!!)

Looks great, Bob, but how about the hook and chain or cable and pulleys from hanging from the lifting mechanism?

2 projects that I would love to see are the woodchip loader and also propane unloading stands.
These are both projects that are on my To Do list.

Here is the Loader at Banks, OR:

The unloading stands I would like to see. These are located in Tigard, OR

Sorry Gregg, forgot to add it. The crane uses my new 76 LPI etched chain.

Day One, a Woodchip loader is already underway. If you like to email me some measured drawings of the LPG stand, I'll work them in.
