Chemical transfer facility

Here I'm attempting to build some sort of chemical or fuel facility that could be found on the side of a track some place.  Not doing any scratch building before I’m not sure where I’m going to go with this build but I got all the tubing from the Plastruct sale and I thought I would see what I can come up with without any studying of prototypes.  I’m posting here to just get a feel of what others think so I would like to hear your comments.

It's always wiser to work from photos or plans. I have never seen piping from the top of one tank to the top of another, and certainly not over such distances without at least several supports and possibly a loop to allow for expansion and contraction.

I agree.  While it might make you the subject of curiosity among the Homeland Security set, you can probably use Maps Live to find some interesting facilities to serve as a guide.

One very simple arrangement would be a home heating oil/propane terminal.  These are all over the place in rural America, aren't terribly large (so they're very model-able) but there's lots of opportunity for detail.

Thanks guys!  Lee - I was starting to use the maps live to look at areas to reference from and I like your idea of oil/propane terminals.  Hank Hill would be glad to see a propane terminal model.  I'll work on it but not to worried about this as I was just experementing.
