Fast Tracks Turnouts

Just completed my first turnout using the Fast Tracks assembly fixture and point tool. This is a #8 (20" outside rad, 15" inside) with ME c55 rail. What do you think?

That's really cool!  Good job.

I've been thinking about those as a potential turnout source if I swicth my layout to c55, given the various comments about Atlas' turnout reliability.

I also can't believe how incredibly smooth they are. Rolling stock glide over them effortlessly! The quicksticks laser cut ties are another excellent idea.

Looks like you did a great job.

I built several turnouts using these fixtures. They looked great and operated well.  The problem I had was the points keep breaking at the solder joints. I tried several fixes, but none were completely successful.  I ended up ripping out all of them and going back to peco and atlas turnouts.

Is there
a trade-around program to get different (straight-curved-point sizes) to reduce costs?  Seems like a reasonable way to get a variety without investing a mint on fixtures...

So if I didn't build my home completely with my own hands, is it outcome based?

Sheesh, some of you guys need to lighten up a bit and get some perspective outside of your own.

Mines a 6 piece modular...now THAT is outcome based!
