I used an MT 1015, and built my own plow pilot out of styrene.

Took some filing and finegling, but I think it turned out okay.

Sounds like a loaded question.

Black.  Give me a minute, will ya?

And that's a train order signal anyways, so it's too short, and it should have a rectangular target, plus a lunar light about 4' above that.... Oh, and a rear-facing head too.

Are you taking notes, Train Cat?  Craig?...

It's a stand in...  A stunt double, if you will...  Believe me, it's on the "To Do" list.

So, does your river have water in it yet, there Sparky?

Naw .. its the dry season .. we had to close the gates on the dam to conserve water. Also, the recent tax increase makes it so that we can not afford to buy additional water :) .. Maybe the have some extra over in Delaware next time I go

Like how you did the sign for the paper company.  Speaking of companies.  There used to be a auto tire company in Cumberland (can't remember the name).  Anyone know if WM or B&O or both served this plant.

Yes, Westvaco was a contraction of West Virginia Pulp & Paper Company. And, IIRC, it was Kelly-Springfield that had the tire plant in Cumberland.

Boy, I could go on all night about all the companies that USED to do business here in the People's Republic, but that might be misconstrued as a political discussion....

The WM also served the Old German Brewery in Cumberland, and the Mohler Pipe Organ Company in Hagerstown.  Pittsburgh Plate Glass had a good sized operation in South Cumberland near Mexico Farms as well.  When I get the Cumberland section built, it will include the brewery.

Thanks for noticing the details....

I'm trying to help a friend find the appropriate operating plow coupler for Bachman Spectrum 2-8-0 Consolidation Item # 81154.

Thanks in advance

I would use a MT Z scale # 905 coupler. there is less cutting required on the front pilot.

Stay cool and run steam..... 8) 8)

is there any problem with these things staying coupled? How about pulling strength ..
