Now that you guys are getting back from the show at T, who is coming to my area in two weeks for the Worlds Greatest Hobby show in Hampton, Virginia?  Make sure you see that it is in Hampton, Virginia not Norfolk as was origionally advertised.  My club will have both TTRak and NTrak layouts running. I'll be there Friday (for setup) and all day Saturday and Sunday.  If anyone needs any assistance, please let me know.  My club is the Peninsula Model Railroad Club and we will be located at the right end of the hall.

That's not too far from those of us on the Shore, but I think I used up my budget (both time and money) on Timonium.

Give us a little more warning next time, and I bet I can make it!

Lee,

I do believe that this is bigger than Timonium.  All the big guns will be there.  I plan on talking to Cory and Paul from Atlas about my Alco S2.  If it hadn't been for this show, and getting ready for it, I would have been to Timonium.  I can send anyone the exhibitors/vendors list it you like.  I see Atlas, Bachman, Kato, Walthers and others going to be there.

Should have saved your money.  It was announced several months ago.

John and others,

It is actually at the new Hampton Roads Convention Center which is right next to the Coliseum.  The show is taking up three halls.  Just off I-64 in Hampton.

As much as I would like to go, I think I have spent my allowance for this month.  There is also a Greenburg show at the PG County Equistrian Center on the 23,24th which is right down the road but I don't think I can even make that one.

John,

Depending on how long ago you were here, you won't recognize the area.  The convention center sits about where Pine Chapel was.  Lots of parking there too.  Coliseum Mall is gone, as is the flyover.  A new outdoor mall is being built there.  We also have a Bass Pro shop if you are into that.  About the only thing we don't have is a hobby shop.

I guess in the interest of advertising, I can post the list of vendors/exhibitors here.  Her is the link I was provided

  http://www.wghshow.com/showinfo/exhibitor/nor/nor_exhibitors.htm

There may be more since I was provided this last month.

I'm considering driving down for the day on Saturday; whether I do or not really depends on the weather.

Skip,

I'd love to come...I still have the Peninsular club shirt! Problem is it would cost several $1000 and more time than I can afford. I'll make it back to the area for a visit some time in the next few years. Give my regards to the rest of the club.

Sorry you can't make it Mark.  The club is now deep into TTRak modules, so we only take 8 NTrak modules to shows. My back certainly enjoys that.  Hope to see you soon.
