Detailing bridges - Rivets

I wanted to know if anyone has ways to detail rivets on a bridge for scratch building from plastic styrene.  Has anyone found any products out there to use like maybe some brass details that can be purchased or some other way to make the details yourself?

I believe they are designed for HO, but Grandt Line makes rivet and bolt head details.

You can make rivets in thin sheet styrene with a pounce wheel: http://www.pearlpaint.com/shop~ocID~2500~parentID~2447~categoryID~2484.htm

Roll the wheel firmly along a steel straightedge with the sheet styrene taped to a firm but compressible work surface, such as a "self-healing" board.

My own habit is to hack up kits and old models for the bits and pieces with rivet detail.

There is a rule that some modelers follow, however: It's better to not have any rivets at all than grossly oversized rivets.

Yes, and I would add that if you are designing this for photography, you can get creative with shadows so that rivets would not be visible anyway.
