Sounds like the prime mover sounds remain constant while only the turbo whines up and down with the throttle.

I'll have to look, but if I remember correctly off the top of my head you've only got a change of a few hundred RPM from idle to max speed, so you almost can't here a change in the prime mover.It isn't relevant in this case, however; this appears to be an EMD reengined Dash 9.
