This week, RDG 1187, a camelback 0-4-0, masquerading as Strasburg 4, and CN 7312, masquerading as Strasburg 31, provided the power of the Strasburg Rail Road in the early 1960's, pulling genuine PRR 1870's coaches.

Next week, train wreck!. Reader Prairie No. 11 tangled with a log truck in rural Arkansas, revealing the origin of its tender.

Here's a couple culled from the volumes shot last weekend during Lee and Ed's Excellent Adventure...

Sherman's Creek Bridge... the lighting was lousy, but the colors sure looked good...

A couple of M&P 40' boxcars that are now employed as grain bins in York

A pair of NS geeps gurgle away the day on the north side of York.

A former M&P GP-9 at York on the old Frederick Secondary track.

Later that day, at Cove, some pool power from the Evil Empire passed through...

Also bagged a people mover at Cove.

And the Catch of the Day...

Conrail "0".  This must have been a Randy Gustafson design.  A single Blomberg truck with a battery box on top.  Note that it still sports it's very original Conrail paint scheme and road number.  According to those "in the know" this is used to shunt cars in and out of the paint shop, and is rarely seen outside it's humble shed.

After the N&W / SR merger "color" finally came to the old NKP/Wabash lines around Toledo.

An SD40-2 really looked good in the Southern scheme IMO

Last weekend my wife came up from the ATL to GSO and we drove up to Roanoke, VA.  Didn't take many train photos, but the RR serves as a backdrop to nearly everything in town.  We visited the O Winston Link museum in the former N&W train station (left of the tracks other side of the glass bridge) and travelled all over town.  We enjoyed ourselves.
