Differences between SW1500 and MP15

Ian, also note the difference in lengths as well. It's enough to noticeably change the visual proportions of the things.

Dumbass, there's like a 10' difference in lengths...

You're both wrong. The drawings indicate the SW1500 is 40'6" over end sills, while the MP15AC is 46'0" over end sills, or 5'6" longer. In HO, that's significantly more than a half inch - very noticeable, IMHO.
