If any of y'all try to open that website, let me know if it works for you. I am now on DSL and after 5 minutes and 100 MB, it still was not  navigable for me.  >:( :'(

And I'll actually be able to go! Will be just ~100 miles from Louisville anyway at that time, in Bowling Green, so why not go? :)

Last time I was that close was being in D.C. the week right before the Chantilly '04 show... :(

The domain name redirects to Paul Downs' web site on another domain's server. Not the best serving solution for an event of this magnitude. The URL should maintain the domain name throughout the user's experience, in my humble opinion.

I use DSL and it only took about 5 seconds for the whole thing to pop up.  I must live closer to a DSL hub.

On a semi-related note, I STRONGLY recommend if you're going to stay at the Galt House make sure you insist on the "new" side of the building - I stayed there this spring and I was stuck on the old side - I really loved the paper thin walls; no internet connection in the room; the classic 1970 wood grain laminate paneling; the lavander toliet and the "classic" (read 25 year old) broadloom.... and it's 1/2 mile from the lobby......( well, a ten minute walk).........But on a positive note Louisville is one rockin city after dark !
Model railroading isn't saving my life, but it's providing me moments of joy not normally associated with my current situation..... Train are good!

But after dark is when you sit in your room drinking beer looking at slide shows!
Didn't you get the memo?

Here's a shocking turn of events.

I was talking with my dad last night about this, and my wife overheard. She said "I want to go to Louisville!"

So maybe I'll be going!

My wife's parents just moved to Louisville, so chances are I'll be going.  My wife can stay with her parents, and I can stay downtown so I can enjoy myself!

I'm going! Don't know if I'm going as a dealer or just a train guy. The idea of carting all my stuff across the country is kind of scary, not to mention expensive.

This will likely be my MRR trip for next year I think.  The Galt House is a great location.  A very walkable downtown.  Lots of historic stuff if you're into that kind of thing.  We visited many times during the Cincinnati days.  I understand it's even better now.  Sounds like fun.
