With Greenlight Intermodel's decision to honor my model with the first prize in there 2007 Contest in the Kitbashed/Scratchbuild categorie , I wanted to thank especially Steve from Greenlight Intermodel for organizing this competition.
I put together a web site with some pictures of the model and "Making of a Container Crane" article.
Here is the link

The next contest is already announced and information can be found here.

You did a great job, I can see why you got first place.  I've been doing research to build a container crane for a dockside layout in HO scale.  I've got some good images and little so far but I've only been at it for about 2 months so far.  You have done a great job with yours.  I hope I can get mine as nice as yours looks.  Do you have any resources you can share that may help with my building.  Right now I'm trying to get the measurements of the crane so I can scale it down to HO scale.  Thanks for sharing your model.

Sorry it took so long to answer but I was gone until yesterday and did not have internet for the last 14 days.

Check Kalmar's web site www.kalmarind.com since they have a huge picture archive.

http://www.kalmarind.com/show.php?id=2520 -> Click on Press Pictures

I started with their newsletters which you can download at
http://www.kalmarind.com/show.php?id=1022301

Look for the Issue NO.3 2005. On page 8 - 9 there is a drawing of a crane including measurements. This was my starting point.

Let me know if you have MS Publisher and I could send you some drawing files I made that might be helpful.

time has not been a problem I'm glad you provided the info and modivation.  I have all the MS products from work so I would be able to check out the files if you are willing to share.  I'll don't think it'll some time before I start on this but I'm getting research started now as you know that's an important part of the job..  You have helped that be  easier.
