Rod Stewart's Article Reviewed...

Just received it today , wow !!!! 
His layout is 23' x 124' , but the scenicked part is "only" 23' x 52' , the rest of the area is occupied by a long staging that is 2' wide by 54' plus a return loop at the end .
His city are incredible with very high buildings . I am very impressed .
The other layout in "Z" is petty impressive also with high arch bridge in the Alps !
This month MR have a lot of punch !

Looks to me like the new editor of MR has brought an improvement to the magazine. He certainly put two blockbuster model railroads in the December issue, traditionally the one with the most single issue purchases.

I do recall an article on Joe Regalbuto's garden railroad some years ago (he was on Murphy Brown), but Rod Stewart's modeling is truly awesome. Hope we can see some more "famous people's" layouts, might ameliorate some of the stigma associated with "adults playing with trains".

Not a fan of Stewart's, but as mentioned before I really like his quotes especailly the one about the cover or MR being more important to him than Rolling Stone.

His work is very good, and it is nice to see someone else fitting modeling into a hectic schedual. While in college I used to carry a tackle box full of projects to work on while working as an overnight mall security doofus. Untill recently, I was able to model right in dispatch at the PD.

I thought the pictures didn't do his layout justice. They seemed muddy, with no real focus. I think the photographer was used to shooting horizontal layouts.
