That's the best thing about this wonderful place....  You could post a picture of your house burning down, and you would likely get the following responses:

"Needs a little more rust on the nails"
"The flames are too red, add some orange at the base"
"Placing a flamethrower in your front yard was a stupid mistake"
"Why did you buy a 1994 Cavalier?"
"At least your EMDs will have soot behind the exhaust stacks now"


Ok, not that bad.  You've gotten the point, though, I'm guessing. 
No one will flame you unless it's earned.
No one will compliment you unless it's deserved.
No one will offer advise unless you are capable of the improvement.

It sounds bad, but it's the reason I love this place.

Ouch my wife is San Diego helping out her parents and she says it looks like a war zone. Ash makes great weathering material. Bastards I have a 97 Cavalier, I gave it to my son-in-law and it's a girl car. Maybe I should torch it.

Lou Sassi is one of my scenery mentors along with Frary, Soeberg, Kapuscinski and Joe Fugate. He takes every picture in MR. BTW - I dropped 9 clams for the new 2008 Great Model Railroad layouts and it is real cool. Check out the HO SP layout in Texas. Guy used astro turf, cut and thinned for a corn field and it looks great. There are the usual toy train layouts, because their big and the guy lives in Wisconsin, the run it - But there are some great layouts in there.
