Phil,
Welcome! There are several of us with that excellent moniker here - but we're vastly outnumbered by the Brian/Bryan's and Dave's, so it's nice to have an additional team member.
Start a Layout Engineering thread to describe your layout. Post some pics of your latest work on the Weekend Update. and when you get to 25 posts, you'll get access to some of the other areas of the Forum.

This is getting confusing! Mind if we just call you Bruce?

Lou,
It's not getting confusing - we;re just reaching the point where an
meet-up requires more then calling out "Are Dave and Bryan/Brian here" to take attendance.

My name is Ben and I suffer in the state of Ohio while my heart lies in the Adirondacks. My layout (in its infancy stage) is a subsidiary of C&O called the Appalachia & Adirondack RR which is set prior to WWII. I railfan with my daughter and fiance who are also helping me build the layout.
Just thought I'd say hi!
OH! I have an entire box of Code 55 Flex (Atlas) and I'm looking to trade/purchase 3 RH turnouts and 6 LH turnouts (all #7) for my layout. Hit me up if you want to work something out!

I might just do that Russ. I grew up in Pittsburgh just down the river from the main yards for Conrail!

Ben Where in Ohio? I'm in Toledo for another year. I also may have some c55 turnouts to sell. I'm trying to see if I want to go with FastTracks. If not you get to buy them!

Ed Kapucinski

But mention his law
and you've pulled your last straw!
Alternate version:
Ed Kapucinski
Every night, he plants a new tree.
He asks excitedly "Did you say Ménage à Trois?"
No, I said "Ed's Law."

Hi. Paul Ristuccia here. I am ristooch on the other well known forum also. Live in Aurora, CO. Been into model trains since I was about 5, getting the requisite Lionel set one Christmas long ago. Mom and Dad gave me my first n-scale equipment around 1970 and I had a 4x8 oval in our apartment in Woodhaven, NY. got interested in other things, but got back into the hobby some years ago while living in Texas. We moved to CO in 2008 and I acquired a basement to go with our house. I have a 36x80 roundy-round down there that will be expanding some day (time and money willing). I decided to join this forum to give me another resource for inspiration and to read what other folks are doing.
I am generally into modern, Western stuff, but nothing specific. I run Digitrax DCC with a mixed bag of decoder equipped locos (no sound except my new Big Boy). I've been experimenting with adding operating ditch lights to the diesels and want to start building my own turnouts rather than buying the off-the-shelf variety.
Glad to be here!

Hello all, Pesto here. I live in Minneapolis and am planning to model a freelance road around the Des Moines, Iowa area.
Long ago--I'm talking yeeeeeears--I was a Railwire member with the handle of Jackdaw, but that must have been only in a previous incarnation of the forum (I seem to recall it has changed locations etc over time, hasn't it?) because a search for "Jackdaw" turns up nothing....probably just as well
I registered again because I wanted to search to see if anyone had commented on the Baldwin AS-16 shell at Shapeways, only to see a thread for it pop up on the first page with no searching necessary!
You probably won't hear much from me as my modeling skills are far short of everyone else's on this forum, but perhaps I will post layout progress pics (in the appropriate forum, of course) at some point regardless.

Hello friends! Some may recognize me as Virginian Railway from Trainboard and I've decided to join The Railwire too. You can probably tell I like high hoods and the Virginian, I also love coal railroading and mine runs. I currently have just a small oval of track for my layout but it's fun to run trains! I've noticed the Wire has a bunch of fans that love Northeastern railroads and I happen to like Penn Central along with my many coalhaulers and other roads not to mention good ole NS.

Hello everyone, my name is Mike and I live in Cincinnati. As you can guess my interest is the C & O railroad from the early 1950's forward. right now I am planning my next layout ( coal mining in W.V.) I have had three previous layouts and a few NTRAK modules. I have lurked here for years and finally decided to join party. I look forward to contributing.
Thanks Mike
