Hello Folks,
I'm Wolf. Been modeling in "N" since 1971. When I received my first trainset (Arnold Rapido) for my birthday. Thanks- POP!!! See what you started!! I model the Southern Pacific in the '50's. Although I have SP equipment up thru their end. I am presetly working on a layout that is 9' X 14'. It's DCC'd. What a learning curve that is. We'll talk more about all of that.

Anyway- glad to meet ya'll and to be a part of this board,
Wolf

Glad to see you joining up here on RailWire.    Welcome, although new myself.

I think we can look forward to having some good discussions and still talk about trains every so often.  Grin!

If you look long enough, you are bound to find a prototype for what you desire to model on your layout.

Hi, I'm Steve and I live in SE Michigan.

I've been building a layout in part of my basement for about 5-6 years, although I've had very little time for it in the last 2 years mainly due to an enormous workload with the company that I own.

I originally planned to model Scranton, PA, focusing on the city yard in 1968, but I've digressed from that plan with a lot of freelancing since the beginning. The flavor is still there, Bridge 60, Hyde Park wye, Nicholson Tunnel, Nay Aug and a few other things.

I'm a refugee of the Atlas forum, and although I have been signed up here for a while, I would only browse and had not posted until recently.

I enjoyed the weekly SNFF thread on the Atlas forum the most and look forward to viewing excellent modelling here.

So that's me and you can find my layout at www.scrantonstation.com.

Lee,

Yes you can indeed! That is my only steamer and it's my favorite. Made beautiful by the work you did on it - thanks again for that.

For those who are not aware, Lee does an excellent job putting decoders into things that regular Joes like me won't (or can't) do. He's a dab hand at weathering too. But you can see that in the photos that he posts.

Don't make his head any bigger - it barely fits through the door as is.

Unemployed CAD Designer looking for work. I started modelingh N-scale after moving to Texas and became an apartment dweller. Began with UP in the mied eighties based in central Texas. I sold it all in 2003 and started over with PRR. I had planned to basicly do steam until I found out the Penssy steamers where very unigue and no one really offers then in N-scale currently. So now I have a bunch of PRR diesels to pull a collection of Penssy cars.
I have a very basic 30x72 inch unitrack layout for home use and a number of T-Trak modules in various stages of completion. Also a member of NT-TTrak and AustNtrak.

I'm Erik Wejryd from Sweden. I share my life with three small kids and my wife, and work as a paediatrician. I begun with Märklin in my childhood around 1980. After a decade long hiatus I went into N-scale almost ten years ago. Buying copies of Model Railroader gradually made me interested in American railroads.

My current project is a freelanced extension of the PRR from Wilkes-Barre to Schenectady during the 1950's. The early abandoned Delaware & Eastern serves as a background - in my version of history PRR bought it as a way for freight to New England. The modeled part is Margaretville (the reason for choosing this location, since my wife's name is Margareta).

I'm a bit overwhelmed by the knowledge I find here and am really pleased to see N-scale being no 1!
