Hi there, my name is Dave I live in Australia and even though I grew up with British Steam I am a total fanatic on American Railroads the mighty trains and the wonderful scenery in the USA.

I have modeled N Scale since 1986 and in that time have built British, Japanese and American layouts, due to the reliability of the American N Scale locomotives I decided to build my latest layout which is a freelance Heritage Railroad called "Stone Valley", I am in the early stages of building the layout and will post a few pictures when I get a little further advanced.

Hi All, I'm Cody Fisher, from the area near Sattler's Hobby Shop in NJ.
I've been modelling in N since i was 3 years old (out of necessity and lack of space). I currently model the UK, specifically the Welsh countryside, focusing on the Great Western Railway anywhere from its conception on into when it was the Western Region of British Railways. I'm looking to make a start in Nn3, with of course a Welsh theme, focusing on slate mines deep in the Welsh hills. I'm an active member of New Jersey Southern N-Trak and am currently working on a module that revolves around the 10" line being a GWR branchline through station with the ubiquitous sidings and buffer stops.
When not emptying the little money i sometimes have in my wallet on British N, i do have US equipment revolving around a 1950s theme with the road of choice being the Pennsy. I also am into modelling oversized and dimensional loads, as well as the occasional Hazmat load as well.
Being only in High School and with no job what-so-ever, the modelling budget is tighter than people's gas-budgets are getting to be.
I'm here to have my nearly non-existent modelling skills intently scrutinized and overly criticized by any and all who enjoy grabbing up their pitchforks and lighting their torches. I'll also be throwing my 2 cents, or in some cases 2 pence, anywhere i can just to get a word in edgewise.
With much regard for those who skills far surpass my own and to all who offer their support and advice, i bid everyone best regards and i'm sure to be lurking about whenever i've a spare moment.

Well, your name's not Dave, but you're welcome to the forum, too!  This is a good group, and you are sure to gain from a wealth of excellent modelers here.  Please contribute.  The great thing about the Railwire is that we don't tend to just pat each other on the back.  We tell it like it is, but, it's that method that fosters improvement in modeling skills and methods.

Thanks Phil! Rick you've no worries since, when compared apples-to-apples, i have more US equipment than British outline.
My sole UK loco is out of commission for close to forever due to some problems with the contact wipers and i've no way to replace them at this time, let alone the skill since i paid to have it DCC fitted.
Once a close associate of mine, *nudge nudge*, mills the frames for some 90's kato Pennsy F3s (A-B pair), i'll be torn between running 50s mixed freights and switching the goods pavilion on my module. That is unless my British Railways Class 04 get a new set of contact wipers...
